Am really struggling to find my serial number too, hold the buttons down as suggested it then says
50701940
DP MV SH
09=00=00
Would really be grateful for some help, am desperate to get it so can get code, and listen to my music again

Those are not the Serial Number
The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a Ford code
It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321
Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number
Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing
Radio removal instructions can be found here or search YouTube

Please help had to change flat battery and now need radio code, only to realise the code is not in the paperwork from the garage. I cannot take much more silence.
My serial no is M224685.
