Just bought a car and the code is missing .

Has anyone access (I don't seem to be able to see the 1st post file)

Using a laser barcode scanner, I read my code, "V003852" on a CD 6000 to search the database and the result is "003852 = 0536" when I remove the V and search. My point is that I've removed the human error aspect - it still doesn't work.

That's the code alright and there is one embedded on the side; "TMFV003852" and one on the top, "V003852" but the unit simply reverts to, "CODE _ _ _ _ " again, but interestingly, THE COUNT DOES NOT INCREMENT (even if you offer him money - OK, I'll just shut up).

So OK, I'm waiting for the UKBOOKSHELF one for £1.95 just now, but maybe someone could contribute as to what this non-incrementing refusal of this code means. Working is obvious, but what does not working look like? Mine seems to be illogical...
