Thank you for this, although it did not solve my problem and here's why.

I have the paperwork that came with the car, and have tried this code several times. I thought I'd ask here in case there was a master code that might override the given one.

Turns out, somewhere along the line my unit was switched with someone elses (bought the car from a retired Ford dealer...)

I pulled the unit from my dash and have discovered that the serial number is actually M242664.

If you are able to help me further, I'd really appreciate it.

I have tried to obtain my radio code by using the 6 and 1 button method but the following information came up:
81-10-00
50702201
DP MV 5H 255

Does this mean anything to anyone?

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing
