Need help retrieving serial

Post by pacer »

Hi members of the forum. My radio is locked after a battery change. I'd thought of trying to get the code somehow but I have no idea why to start by getting the serial. I've tried searching from the label but am unable to find a set of numbers that start with either m or v. Tried using 6+1 to address the menu but it doesn't seem to load. Attached is a picture of the label. Any help explaining or getting the serial would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Ford SAM radios are made by Sanyo , usually for the Far Eastern and Australian markets and unfortunately the codes are only obtainable from your local Ford Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

There are no free or cheap answers for these on the Internet

Wow. That's a while bunch of bull by Sanyo. I guess I have no other choice but to go to the local dealer to get it fixed. Thanks so much for taking your time to read and reply redrooster.
