FORD V SERIAL NUMBER CODES
If your radio has the Ford V Serial Number then it will not normally be available for free as access is required to the Ford factory database (unless you can blag it for free from Ford)
A recommended reliable place is here
www.ukbookshelf.co.uk/fordv
Otherwise try your Ford Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

Many thanks for your suggestions.
I ended up ringing the salesman at the Ford dealer who sold us the car and he got back to me
within the hour with the code and lo & behold we have a working radio!! He did point out that if
I had rung their service dept direct, they would have supplied me with the code for the
princely sum of £20 - what a rip-off!! However going thru the salesman cost me nothing.
Thanks again

Yes...as I said in the above reply, you may be able to blag it for free from Ford.
Often, ringing the Spares Department gets a free result so it is always worth trying.
If you aren`t in a hurry then try ringing several Ford Dealers
