focus mk1 code

Alternator went on my ford focus, radio stopped working when I changed the alternator.
There is a 3-way connector on the alternator, the bottom two pins corroded and snapped off, the lights on the vehicle were shimmering and flickering and the battery lamp on the dash came on for several seconds, several times. The car battery was overcharging & boiling, smelled like a bin of rotten lemons and swimming pool chlorine, managed to limp home about 150 miles.

I press buttons 1 & 6 and get:
MP D5 DP
3-03
255

What is the code?

None of those are the correct Serial Number

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Radio removal instructions can be found here..... or search YouTube for a video

thanks, it works, I've also fixed the ariel connector that was loose & giving me occasional poor reception.
