Ford Focus 6000cd radio code incorrect

I wonder if anyone can help me.

I've just got my car back from the garage after some repairs. They had to disconnect the battery so I need to now input the security code.

Followed the steps of holding 1 & 6 to generate the info and I got a serial number of V071282. I stupidly paid 2 different sites for the code and both gave me 8270.

However this comes back as incorrect and I'm running out of attempts.

Anyone have any suggestions?

You must be quoting the wrong Serial Number or your radio has been recoded in the past to a different code

Serial Numbers in the car paperwork or on the display are often incorrect so remove the radio from the dashboard and read what is printed on the label
