Can you help me somebody with a key code for CD6000, serial no V046817. Thanks in advance.

FORD V SERIAL NUMBER CODES

If your radio has the Ford V Serial Number then it will not normally be available for free as access is required to the Ford factory database (unless you can blag it for free from Ford)

Hi,
I do have a code on a card from ford (handwritten) , but it clearly isn't correct and the stereo wont take it.
So I need the correct code for my 6000 stereo.

I'm having the same issue as the guy on the front page in getting the serial number though, holding 1 and 6 gives me:
SWP 1-656 1
SWP - - 14C044
SWP3 – AC
SWP4 –
06 – 02 – 06
CD_KW_8
30/11/2005
05-01-02

Holding 2 and 6 does nothing.

I tried to take the stereo out previously for a different reason, and failed miserably, so dont want to have to go down that route unless I really have to. Is there another way to get the serial no? And is there any reason the 1 and 6 doesn't work?

M046817=8075....but it will not work if your Serial Number is V046817

Your only option now is to obtain removal pins/keys and remove the radio from the dashboard to find the Serial Number printed on the label on the casing
