Many thanks for your reply, the 4digit code works fine, so very much appreciated.
The 2028 CD unit has a suspected fault, as when power is applied, the screen backlight illuminates, but the unit does not request a code and the display is blank. I was supplied with a code for it when purchased(925), which was quite few years ago. It was only bought as spares or repair anyway, so I'll put it back in the cupboard!
