I have just had my battery replaced and need a code to restart my Radio/cd player The model is a 6000cd RDS E-O-N, on pressing 6 and 1 together the following came up MGP DJ5 408 050803 can anyone help with the code or do I have to remove the radio to get the serial no

It requires the NUMBER of correct radio code usually starts with M or V followed by six digits ... V654321 times as M654321 or pressing buttons 6 and 1 together or 6 and 2 will show the number Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and publish the SERIAL NUMBER is located on a label on the housing of radio removal instructions can be found here www.fitaudio.com/index.php?CategoryID=13

Hi again been told by the mechanic that the ser no is m050803 but as this is part of my earlier post I am not sure can you gererate a code from this pls

Thanks TXETXU I tried the code you gave and it did not work but nothing to do with you the mechanic obviously did not even check the radio just told me what he thought was the serial no. I got a another mechanic from VW to take the radio out for me and the code was written on the casing. I am now going to get my money back.
