need code for my zetec..pretty please

Hi all...proud owner of a ford fiesta zetec 2002, am a motorbiker and was given the car by a friend.
I have log book and manual, but my friend, the previous owner, doesn't know the radio code.
recently had a new clutch put in and now suddenly it needs a code...we are stumped.

the series number is M041703

can anyone help?

PS I tried the code generator that is posted on page one of this thread, it gave me 2424..but when I enter that number nothing happens

Repeatedly press button 1 until the correct first digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 2 until the correct second digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 3 until the correct third digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 4 until the correct fourth digit of the code is displayed.
Once the code supplied is showing on the radio's display,
press button 5 to activate the radio.
