Escort Mk5 1993 FD2015 Radio Code

Hi, Just purchased a lovely Mk5 Escort but need a radio code for it, just can't wait to play my cassette tapes again!
The model is FD2015 Serial number P L010231
Also is there any particular method for entering the code as at the momemt numbers do not seen to enter.

I don`t know the exact instructions for that model so try this

Ford Code Entry Instructions for many Ford radios

Once the unit has been turned on the display will show ' CODE - - - -'

Press preset [ 1 ] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [ 2 ] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [ 3 ] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [ 4 ] repeatedly for the fourth digit

To save/store the code press the [ 5 ] button

(note : sometimes it is the [ 6 ] or [< ] or [>] button that stores the code)

Thanks for your help but code input insructions do not work. I trying to surf the net for the answer but no luck yet. I'll post the solution here if I ever find it.

Hi again, I manages to find input instructions for this model. As incorrect codes had been attempted you have to turn ignition key to first position and wait about 30 mins until the dashes flash. You can then use your method to input the code, as above, followed by the "SELECT" button to confirm code.

Unfotunatly the code you gave me still doesn't out work, so is there another code that might work with this model and serial number?
