Help me please I'm going crazy

Hi I need help.

I have bought the tools to get the radio out so I can get the serial number but they aren't arriving until next weekend. I have tried pressing 1 and 6 on the radio but is just says wait 30 minutes. I have learnt that you can press 1 and 6 so the radio will display the serial number. But obviously it won't let me. Is there a way that I can get the radio code without the serial number. I had a new battery and this is why I have the issues.

No...if pressing buttons 1 and 5...or 1 and 6 do not display the Serial Number ( usually beginning with M or V ) then you have to extract the radio from the dashboard in order to find the code printed on the label

Thanks for your reply. I'll do that. My tools arrived today so I will get it out tomorrow and let you know. Would you be able to direct me to a sight to get the radio code then.
